Weekly Classroom Spotlight

Coach Roach's PE Class

In January, elementary P.E. students tested in various endurance, agility, and strength tests. Several students finished with impressive results for their age ranges. To test cardiovascular endurance, all students participated in the pacer test. These are the number of students in each grade that tested in the upper percentile (showing they are well above average): Kindergarten - 8/18 45%, 1st - 13/17 76%, 2nd - 16/26 62%, 3rd - 7/15 47%, 4th 10/19 53%, 5th B - 6/14 43%, 6th - 10/19 53%.

Overall, 55% of our students tested showed to have cardiovascular endurance in the upper percentile of elementary students in the country. Another notable test was the pushup test in which 37 students k-6 tested in the top 15 percent in the country.
