1st Quarter OBJECTIVES
Phonics: Students will begin review on short vowel words/sounds.
Phonemic Awareness: Students will work on segmenting, blending, and phoneme substitution.
Reading: Students will work on story elements such as characters, setting, and plot.
Language Arts: Students will work on characteristics that make a complete sentence. Students are writing for a variety of purposes.
Math: Students are working on gaining addition strategies. They will also work on number sense.
Science: Students will study Earth systems. This will include learning about day and night as it involves the sun, moon, and stars.
Social Studies: Students will learn about the importance of being a positive role model and citizen at home, school, and in the community.
