This March, students learned about the term "Self-Control." Throughout the month, students learned about the importance of being able to control their bodies and their minds, as well as how to recognize stress and anxiety. Some activities that were covered included an awareness exercise, an irrational thoughts video, and some in-detail coloring of mandalas. While many students were able to showcase their Self-Control, Gavin Barbarick, Isabelle Jones, Brooks Kasper, and Izayah Rhoades were recognized by the entire elementary staff for their ability to show "Self-Control,"
With MAP/EOC testing in full swing, teachers and staff will be on the lookout for students that showcase April's word of the month: Responsibility.
