Mrs. Barbarick's 3rd Grade
This year has started off with a blast in third grade. We have been working hard on learning multiplication and division, learning in our new Wonders reading the curriculum, learning about our wonderful state of Missouri, and the weather in our region. We made apple nachos for Johnny Appleseed Day, visited Frontier Village in Adrian to learn what life was like in the past, we watched the clouds to tell if it was going to rain or not. The third graders were also part of the homecoming parade. We celebrated Missouri Day with the fourth graders. During Missouri Day we learned how to make corn husk dolls, homemade applesauce, homemade butter, and Johnnycakes. We also played pioneer games and watched videos on what life would have been like if we were pioneers. We have also been working with Mrs. Daniel to prepare for our Cultures around the World celebration in December. Mr. Shipp's volunteered his time to teach us a little bit of Spanish. We have had a blast so far!
